Rarity
Rarity by @ProphetEKA (Erik Amill)

Yet Another Anthro-styled Pony. This time around, it's Rarity! = D

Yeah, she started as just a sketch to figure out her hair. I ended up drawing her like this out of equal parts boredom (mindless sketching) and wanting to show the character a little differently. Generally, gems come out of the ground rough and in need of polishing. Rarity has a knack for finding the best gems (cut and polished right from the ground). I figured I'd take those ideas, smash 'em together and run with it. The rocks - like the rough sapphire she's holding - are raw but she's got the gem cutting skills to get the best final possible.

Inking her hair was a pain but the color stage went rather quickly. Had a hell of a time matching her palette in CMYK for some odd reason. Thankfully, the hex codes worked better and didn’t shift nearly as much as I had expected.

Rarity belongs to Hasbro.
