Frodo, from one of the most heartbreaking chapters in The Return of the King, "The Tower of Cirith Ungol". Those evil orcs, whipping the poor thing like that! weeps Frodo went through such total crap during ROTK, it's amazing how he survived sane and alive. I think I painted too many bloody scars on him.
