I procrastinated a lot while doing this piece. One of the biggest drawbacks of being a traditional artist is you really only get one shot at it, there’s no undo button or prior save if you mess up. So I took forever to decide what colour the birds would be. Eventually I went with a Crimson Rosella and a Green-cheeked Conure inspired by my own pet Rio.
