Today, it has been one year. One year since she had that traffic accident.

She got run over by a truck.

While she quickly had tried to pass in front of it, thinking it would stand still for a while longer, the truck had suddenly started to drive again and had pushed her and her bicycle to the ground. The next second she had disappeared underneath the huge vehicle. She thought she was going to die.

But she did not. In fact, she wasn’t hurt at all, except for that bruise on her cheek. She had landed right inbetween the tires of the truck. Her bike however had not been that fortunate. The truck had completely crushed it.

She had been so lucky. The people who had pulled her away from underneath the truck and taken care of her later, told her she must have had a guardian angel. It was unbelievable.

February 20 2002. 20-02-2002. What an odd date.

Today, she recalls it. Recalls everything. Just like she did yesterday. And the day before yesterday. Actually, there hasn’t been a day she hasn’t thought about this.. miracle.

She would like to thank her guardian angel. Eef would like to thank her guardian angel.

I still don’t feel very comfortable around big vehicles.
