Intergalactic Menagerie RP Scene by @VioletWhirlwind (Violet Whirlwind)

Drawing inspired by a dream I had once about an RP over on the MF RP board.

Anyway...the situation revolves around this: Reni and Co. find themselves abducted by aliens and placed in their princess's private zoo. The RP plot is based on the mobians trying to escape and get home. This doesn't happen right away. Instead, they end up living there as captives for about seven and a half mobian years, during which time, Reni gives birth to and raises her and Surge's triplet children to the age of about 7 1/2 mobian years. (They were born shortly after Reni and Co were placed in the zoo)

Reni then gets stolen in one of only a few escape attempts to actually be semi-successful (but esentially a failure, as everybody but her and CyKairus's char gets recovered and placed back in the zoo) by a group of hedgehog rustler aliens and carried off to a secret underground creature-racing community, where she's sold to a creature-racing stable, and forced to race to earn her 'owner' money and fame. Here she meets a strange cheetah-like character (Cheaetoidekcc [I think that's how I spelled it...some strange spelling like that anyway]...one of my many Critters...see further in my gallery for the pic) who is also a racer, and they become friends. Reni is then forced to race another mobian captured from her homeworld by her "owner's" brother and rival stable owner.

She is startled to find out that the mobian she's racing is her own younger brother! Both are dismayed and horrified to learn that the rival stable-owner brothers have now made up with each other and have deteremined to breed Reni with her brother. They are both placed in the same stall in hopes that this will happen.

They are "rescued" first, however, by the zoo personnell and Reni's first "owner" -- the alien's princess -- and Reni's friends and family. The zoo personnell promise to take them home, meanwhile putting them back in the enclosure while they debate on a moral and business delemma this promise causes. The delemma revolves around the fact the alien princess had opened her zoo to the public...and that Reni had become a favorite attraction...to lose her might mean a loss of business.

The delemma is solved seemingly just in time, as Reni's homesickness begins to manifest physically, as she rapidly loses her will to live, stops eating, and goes into a coma. The trip home then becomes a race against time, as the alien's princess has come to love her mobian "pet" more than any of her other "pets," and wants her to be safe.

Wordy, I know, but I like to give my art watchers actual info about the situations in my situational pics. I have often found myeself looking at situational pics by other artists and wanting to know what's going on, when the description doesn't say much. =P

Anyway...layout is from a dream I onece had. Today I had another (totally AWESOME, I might add) dream about the RP that I want to draw from, but I have to upload THIS version first....sine it's already drawn. I wanted to get everything in the pic, but ran out of room for both the entire layout of the "Mobian Habitat" as it was called in the RP, and the chars I wanted in the pic. (should have put it on larger paper) So basically, you get a bird's-eye-view of just a part of it, and some of the major players, plus several random Cyclopians (the aliens) on the sides.

The lines through the landscape are invisible walls separateing some mobians from others. (These caused a few unintentional KO's in the RP) Bird's-eye view is kind of difficult to show character detail in, but I did my best.

The three chars in the other two enclosures that you see are not mine. The cat is CyKiarus's character, Cy ( [link] ) And the fox(currently forget his name) and foxmoth(Clarinet) are Seyera's chars (not sure if she has a DA account...would link to it if I knew she did).

In the main enclosure (well...main for this particular scene...it's the one you see most of) are Peace and TJ (my two fanchildren of Tails) looking bored/sad (lying down...that's why you can see their whole body...and I know the proportions on Peace's legs are off, they're suposed to be sticking up in the air sorta...like I said Birds-eye is hard) Surge, acting concerned (though all you can see is his head...I think he's suposeed to be kneeling here...)for Reni, who is lying on her side, head propped on an elbow, one hand dangling in the water of the 'fake ring pool' as she calls it (inside that pile of rocks with the waterfalls is a concealed viewing platform...Shhhhh! Don't tell Reni the aliens can see her! =p bricked) That bulge in her stomach....I can't draw pregnant characters, apparently....it should be WAY bigger...considering she's got three 'in the oven,' so to speak (Tranq, Electra, and Si). bricked

She's looking all depressed here. Thing about Reni...she can't stand being imprisoned. it tends to either make her insanely angry, drive her out of her mind, or cause her such depression that it will inevitably become dangerous (she stops eating and caring for herself). About the only thing that kept her going through the 7 years she was there, was caring for her children and hoping they'd someday be free.

Anyway...you're all probably asleep now, I know.

Anyway....Comments please! I'm reasonably proud of this thing! And full view. You aren't likely to see anything if you don't. =p
