Betsy Ross
Betsy Ross by @leelee (Lee Lee)

Bah, pay no attention to the Dweeb in the picture, she's stupid... ^_^;; But the picture in the back it what you look at.

(this is ooooold) In my middle school, Middle School of the Arts, aka MSOA, there was a project called Steam Roller. What we did was take large peices of ply wood and carve them with a mix of Chisle and hammer, or elctric tools. The year I took part in this project the theme was women of history.

I chose Betsy Ross, firstly because the person I wanted to do was taken, and secondly because she was the maker of our flag, the mind behind our banner of patriotism. Sot for a month I work hours with a hammer, chisle, router, buzz saw, and sander to creat this. It is the one peice of work that I am most proud of, even after all these years. I worked the hardest on this. I also had a team to help me, but I was the designer of the whole thing.

This project was sponsered by "The wemen in the arts" group and I THINK Watington Mutual. It was in the paper and there was a resception at a car lot... don't remeber what one. That's where this pic was taken. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lee Lee
