Maia and Occula
Maia and Occula by @seasaidh (Jessica Caroline)

I just realized that I hardly ever post anything here. x.x!!!

I guess you could call this my V-day tribute. Took me 5 hours to do, done in OpenCanvas with tablet. 4th tablet drawign. For some reason I'm very proud of myself with this picture, I hope I wake up later and feel the same way about it.

About the girls:

Maia is 15 year old Tonildan girl who was sold by her mother into Slavery. Occula is a 19-20 year old black girl who saves Maia from a potential rapest and introduces her into the world she's known since her father was killed at the age of 10. With Occula's help Maia will save the corrupt world they live in.

Even though Maia and Occula do not end up 'together' in the end, they are VERY much lovers and love eachother more than anything.

This art is based on a book by Richard Adams (author of Watership Down) called Maia. I am enjoying this book so much.

Happy V-day to everyone!
