A young mother teaches her son the arts of battle, so he can face his father with pride. Neither know of the fate that awaits him, they spar with smiles.

This was done in water soluable pencils and faints watercolours. I haven't used proper watercolours since I was about 12. It was just an experiment and, though it looks sketchy and rough, I quite like it. It was too big to scan fully, so I've just scanned close-ups on the two characters. Aoife and Conlai.
