 Aaraba the Celestial Unicorn
Aaraba the Celestial Unicorn by @pegacorn (Stephanie Small)

In the beginning there was light and dark. The light took form and began to create energy...the dark took form and began to shape energy. From this the first of all things created was the Aaraba...or spirit of stars. This spirit of stars was a shining dark unicorn who dwelled among the stars. The shining is the shards of his horn and legend says that the light of the moon is the wicked sharpening of his horn to battle the evil beasts of night. This picture is made on black paper with white soft (chalk) pastels. In my personal religion I see the unicorn as the ultimate symbol of the moon and water. This specific drawing is for a god in my dungeons and dragons world. Someday if I find a horse that suits the image that I like maybe I will re-draw the picture with a photograph as source. This specific pose is from a dream I had as a child of a black unicorn leaping towards me in the darkness. My Websites: Ebonhorn Fantasy Art - SCA Romani Horses - Napa Role Playing Guild
