The Wind Rider by @Shadowwolf (Shaddie)
Go this here linkydinkyroooo! for a more detailed version.
22 layers, people. TWENTY TOO. Photoshop and my computer probably hate me for this. This picture is huugggeee in it’s real size, and it took literally TWO MINUTES (I timed) each time I tried to save the file. So yeah… It took a long time towards the end there. In the future I’ll try tooo…make pictures less big I guess xD
AHEM. This is my second commission finished, finally. It’s a WOLFWEB CHARACTER! :D I love WolfWeb character. It’s Rainbow Chaser, the ‘reborn’ alpha-angel-WindRider of Timberfalls looking very…seriouuusss. She is the only Light Wind Rider that I know of, but just because she fights for the greater good does not mean that she is a box of kittens compared to such rough-and-tumble characters as Shinny or the late Wolfsbane. Quite the opposite, in fact. Angels are just as fierce as demons, if not more…
At Rainbow Chaser’s side is her Wind Spirit, Vae Victus… I’ve always imagined Wind Spirits like that - just a long tendril of mist or smoke with a kind of lighted sphere at the ‘beginning’, or face, of it. So yeah. That’s just my interpretation, people on WW probably all have different ideas though xP
Ahem, now… I tried a new style thing here. And am not really happy with it ): I hate my style, no matter what I do with it. And I hate the clouds…. Why can’t I have talent like everyone else? Don’t ask me why she’s standing in a puddle xD Honestly, I just wanted to draw water. So there you go. I’m really proud of the lineart to this. But…grrrggg, I suck at everything else. Oh well. I hope you like, RC :3
I find this excerpt from Perelandra very interesting: “My fear was now of another kind. I felt sure that the creature before me was what we call “good,” but I wasn’t sure whether I liked “goodness” so much as I had supposed. This is a very terrible experience. As long as what you are afraid of is something evil, you may still hope that the good may come to your rescue. But suppose you struggle through to the good and find that it also is dreadful? How if food itself turns out to be the very thing you can’t eat, and home the very place you can’t live, and your very comforter the person who makes you uncomfortable? Then, indeed, there is no rescue possible: the last card has been played.”
