-Mishap short story-

In my vision all I can see is a bright flash light surrounding me. As it fades out and details can be made, a dark rainy forest stands before me. When I start to get my bearings, I realize that my memory is fuzzy. This place looks familiar but I don't know why.
I walk down the only dirt path that lies before me. After what probably felt hours but only took a few minutes, I come to a wooden house. With all of this weather, I could really get out of the rain for the moment.
When I approached the door I noticed that it was locked. Then from muscle memory, I reached into my pocket and pulled a key out that looked like it could fit the lock.
Once inside, I noticed the house is still warm has been lived in very recently. While taking a quick look around I saw a note sitting on a desk that was addressed to myself. The note reads: "Hi Ember, this is a note to yourself and yes this is your house. Yes you lost your memory but it's only temporary. The cause of it would have to be some kind of negative energy that is in the area somewhere. Best to look into it."
Well that answers that question, now I don't feel bad about barging into my own house. I recall my friend Aki telling me how I should learn meditation so I can clear my mind. Since my head is still fuzzy, I should try doing that, not in my house though, elsewhere. I know a creek is nearby so I'll head in that direction and worry about that strange energy afterwards.
So after stopping by my house to dry off, I grab a lantern so I can see outside and make my way down another open area with which brings me to a creek, a large deep one.
I find a decent spot to sit down for a moment and close my eyes. Listening to the sound of the rain hitting the surface of the creek, then suddenly I hear a quiet pulsing coming from the creek. After looking into the water deep below is an electrical purple ball of energy.
This must be that negative energy. I reach into my bag, pull out a chisel and find a rock for me to carve a symbol onto it with an enchantment. I give the rock a good toss and watch as it makes the descent towards the energy. As the rock got closer, it began heating up and smoldering into dust floating back to the surface. Apparently that didn't work, I'm pretty sure I did that right or maybe it's just really powerful magic.
"Can you help me? I don't know where I am." What? A voice? I quickly turn around to see a ghost girl with blonde hair and giving off a purple aura looking at me with tears in her eyes. The only thing I think is this ghost must have come through that energy as a stray or something.
"I'm not sure where you came from." I say to the ghost as it stares at me with a blank expression. Suddenly it shrieks causing me to cover my ears in pain, then she runs into a random direction. Confused and annoyed by what just happened, I run after her in the direction she went into.
After several minutes of chasing this ghost, I come to a clearing where a campfire is burning and a women about my age is sitting on a stump looking at me with a friendly smile greeting me. "You look like you've seen a ghost Ember." My friend Aki says while I'm catching my breath. "I did...actually."
"Have a seat, catch your breath and drink some tea." Aki offers as I stubbornly shake my head. She repeats herself with a more stern tone. "Have a seat and catch your breath Ember." Without saying another word I compile as she presents a cup of tea for me to drink.
I sigh and take a couple of sips of the tea. Then I tell Aki what happened, getting her up to speed. "Hmm, sounds like we got to do some sealing and cleansing it seems." Aki says as she stares into her drink. I quickly turn to her "so you know what it is then?" She calmly replies "well, no, but I have been hearing plenty of rumors about those balls of energy being scars and things leaking through them." She pauses, taking a sip of tea "we'll need to stop by my house before we go back to the creek."
A few minutes had passed, I put the fire out and Aki and I take a path that brings us all the way to her house. Aki's house looks similar to mine except it's a little bit nicer. "Wait for a bit." She says going into her home to grab some stuff. After a minute or two she comes back out holding a spell book. "Alright, let's get back over to the creek." I tell my friend in a hurried tone. We backtrack pass the campfire we were at before and walked all the way back to the creek where I had been before.
"Here is where I found it." I point into the creek where the purple energy is. Aki walks up to the waters edge, looks down into its depths studying it carefully. She then pulls the spell book out flipping through its pages until she found a spell. "This is going to take both of us to seal Ember. Now, I want you to concentrate on the scar in the water." I nod quietly and wait for Aki's next instructions.
"This is a strong spell that will seal this energy, but it may or may not be permanent." Both of us hold our hands out towards the water while Aki chants some words of power. The scar begins to glow a different color, with electricity surging from the opening. It slowly starts getting smaller while the scar electricity increases its intensity.
"It's going to sting a little bit. Don't stop or it will reopen." Aki says very quickly. After what felt like 10 minutes took only 2 to 3 minutes, the scar closed up. Aki and I, feeling worn out, trade high fives and breathe a sigh of relief. "Hell yeah, that was awesome!" I yell excitedly while Aki stares into a specific direction. "We're not done just yet." Aki says.
Before us we see the same ghost girl watching still with tears on her face. Just before I can say something, Aki calmly walks over to the girl with a gentle and motherly tone in her voice. "It's okay now, don't be scared." The girl starts to calm herself a little. "Aki, what are you about to do?" I say impatiently while Aki shushes me.
Aki pulls out her spell book again, finding another page that seems to be a cleansing spell. She again chants some words of power and the purple aura surrounding the girl disappears. The ghost girl then looks around, confused and then looks in our direction. Aki smiles and asks "what is your name?" The ghost girl replies "Lily. I'm sorry for the trouble caused earlier." Lily drops her head with a look of guilt.
"It's quite alright Lily, no harm done." Aki says and then turns her head to me. "This is my friend Ember and my name is Aki." I silently nod my head to Lily then I speak up. "Do you know how you got here Lily?" She looks at us confused. "No, all I remember is a flash and I'm suddenly standing behind you Ember." I think for a moment and an idea came to mind. "I know a guy we can talk to who could help us out here but we'll have to leave this forest to go see him."
Aki turns to me "Well then, let's go. Please lead the way Ember."
