Sam Gamgee's 'Oliphaunt' from The Two Towers. Watercolor, gold acrylic. The truly heinous scan due to paper size - in real life, for example, the reds are quite bright and the trunk is all blue 'n junk. The animal design is a tarted-up version of the elephant in the Aberdeen Bestiary.
