A large town by the name of Snowdin is one of many hunting bases across Valgustra--and where many skilled hunters call home. From Snowdin's hunting guild, the Skeleton brothers--AKA the Hunter brothers as the town knows them--are two of these elite hunters that protect and provide for the thriving town. Sans is the older of the two, his preferred hunting style is by bow (to be shown in another image) as his fur based wares are listed as light armor best for distance fighting. Highly skilled in the art of combat, his mastery of the ice affinity is unmatched by any other hunter while his brother Papyrus is very opposite of him. While Papyrus bares heavy armor made from the bones of an Ancient's Guardian, he much prefers head-to-head battles with his mastery over the affinity of fire at his command and to prevent his older brother Sans from being in the direct line of danger. Sans is well known to be very heavy into the art of magic, every one of his attacks baring such affinity despite he having a good bit of physical strength as well. However, where arcane is his strongest attribute, his light armor leaves him a lot more vulnerable to physical attacks and thus prefers to not get too close to his target unless he is very certain he wouldn't be in danger in doing so. He has high agility, flexibility, movement speed and endurance on the field, making it tricky for Nature's beasts to succeed in hitting him. To everyone that knows him, it's his armor type's effect that keeps him unaffected by the chilling cold of the Northern lands--in actuality however, its factored to his soul type as he, as well as his brother, are baring such heavy secrets of their true origins just like many others who would be seen as 'wolves in sheep's clothing'.
Sans' very being seems to hold a mythical glow, from his aurorean lights scarf that appears as if the northern sky itself were made tangible, to the glowing stripes that adorn the back of his coat and waist in a pulsing motion. While he isn't completely camouflaged in the snowy lands alone, his ability to manipulate light can aid him when disappearing is something he needs to do. Seeing light goes hand in hand with ice and crystals, his influence over light is thanks to his core type that is of the Northern Star itself--making his arcane limits secretly unlimited and he shares this link with his brother in the 'Ancient's Guardian' agreement. Thus, the brothers bare the same markings along their foreheads. While not out on an active hunt, Sans spends a lot of his time at Muffet's Comfort and Joy Inn and bar--not just for the fine dishes that every hunter seeks to have before every hunt, but also mainly for the Honey mead that has become quite popular across the town. While time to time he'll eat elsewhere like the Temmie's canteen, he always returns to Muffet's for that sweet honey drink. Despite his and Papyrus' secret origins, the brothers are well known and trusted as honest, hard working commoner monsters. Their loyalty is rather precious as it's something not many personally have. Many other hunting teams however, human or not, have many times asked to team up with them on difficult hunts--which the brothers would normally be the lead of the excavations with Sans giving orders should they accept. While Papyrus remains rather serious in nature and hardly pals around, he usually states things--serious or not--with such a straight face that it's hard to tell if he's joking or not. Sans on the other hand is more known to wear his feelings on his sleeve, he being more expressive, outgoing and laid back when hanging around town--he was also given the nickname 'Furball' from the town's Blacksmith, Grillby with Papyrus being known as 'Stone Wall' thanks to appearing as an 'immovable object'. While Papyrus and Grillby are close, old-times friends, Sans and Fuku--Grillby's daughter and smithy in training--are more known to pal around as they take verbal jags at one another to see who can out-best whom. Course, this sort of relationship between Fuku and many others are pretty much the same as she tends to befriend many who stick around town. The brothers live together in their own Hunter's Sanctuary located near middle of town where it's closest to all the main activities of the area: The blacksmith, canteen, Comfort and Joy Inn, the Trades yard, training field, Wingdrake training posts, library and many other local shops that bring much aid to their daily hunting tasks.
Gaining the hunting brothers' trust however, can be very difficult as trust is a very serious thing for them to give out onto others
