Light against the Darkness by @katedagg (Kate Dagger)

According to Egyptian mythology, every night the sun god Ra makes a journey through the depths of the Underworld. In the darkest hour of the night, he fights his enemy Apophis, the Serpent of Darkness. It is a deadly battle, but Ra emerges victorious, and the sun sails on to rise again the next morning. Here's my depiction of this literal battle between Light and Darkness, and I must say I'm VERY proud of how it came out. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Kate Dagger
