Sketch of Altair
Sketch of Altair by @djohn (D. Johnston)

This is a sketch I made of Altair over the summer, with none of my former drawings of him as reference. I had just gotten a book on anatomy, and was trying out the techniques given within. This picture turned out rather well, except that, being a genome, he really ought to have shorter legs and perhaps be thicker through the waist and hips.

I showed a different picture of Altair to a guy I know, and he insisted that Altair was a girl, despite the obvious lack of breasts on his nearly-bare chest. What gave him this idea? Not the girlish-hips of a genome, or the big silver eyes, no, dears, it was the pageboy haircut.
