Imagine, if you will. You’re out on a nice forest walk, enjoying the sun beaming down through the gaps of the leaves, warming your skin as you enjoy the nature surrounding you. Creatures scuttle in the underbrush, squeaking and squabbling about. Birds call, frogs croak, your feet crunching the crispy golden and red leaves underneath each step you make with a satisfying cronch.

You find a suspicious log, and you feel the compulsion to roll it. Who knows, you may find an ant colony, or some insects. Maybe you’ll even find a snake!

You take a deep breath and except all your energy into rolling over this log, and you find me, sketching away underneath. I look like a scared rodent, my eyes wide and glistening as I silently hand this over to you, then scuttle deeper into my den. You had disturbed me, yet I was not mad at you, for my tears were not of fear nor sadness, but of joy, as I share my creation.
