This is the illustration of the opening scene of my fic, Broken Chaos, done in marker rather than colored pencil. I actually made this one before the colored pencil one, I think, but I didn't upload it because I thought it was too sloppy. But now that I look at it again, it has some admirable qualities. The colored pencil version was very soft and perhaps too dominated by yellow. The markers in this one, however, are much bolder and give much sharper contrasts that I think better achieves the sense of drama I was going for in this pic. If the colors were blended better and it wasn't so sloppy, the marker version would probably be a lot better than the colored pencil one. Maybe I'll redo it someday...
