Ambra is a twi'lek, born on the planet Ryloth, but went to live on Tatooine with her uncle Ly'thow, a smuggler, when her parents died. She was taught skills she would need to survive on the harsh planet, and eventually began to work with her uncle as his partner. When Ly'thow retired she inherited his ship, the Twisted Whiskey, and went off in search of adventure with her zabrak friend, Eetho. They quickly ran out of a credits, and unable to find work, were forced to take out a loan with Baldoga the Hutt. Unable to pay off their debt when it came due, a bounty hunter was sent after them who eventually caught up to them on Dantooine, where they hid. Eetho surrendered so that Ambra would have time to escape and, hoping that he still lived, she began trying to earn enough credits to pay off the debt and free him.
