This guy hasn't had the best of lives. His British mother passed away when he was 12 years old and his Japanese father (thinking his youngest son was cursed due to the fact he was born on the 1st of April) blamed her death entirely on him.

Donovan was quickly disowned mentally, then physically, four years later. He spent three more years trying to find a home and employment but somehow nothing turned out right.
