Winx is a Cheloran crocodile, a subspecies of crocodile only found on the continent of Chelora, on a planet far from Earth. She's usually cheerful, but has mood swings frequently, and has been known to be a tad violent. She's curious by nature, but has a well developed sence of self-preservation.
