Appearance – Salem is what most girls at Hogwarts old enough to notice call extremely hot. He knows this, and is constantly trying to scar his face with no avail. Madam Pomfrey always catches him. His light brown hair is cut short, with sideburns. His midnight blue eyes are always looking around, trying to avoid eye contact with most people.

General Personality – Kind, friendly, easy to talk to, Salem can be described as perfect most of the time. Truthfully, he is usually quiet and reserved unless someone talks to him, and then he only responds what he was to. He was a weird tempter, most of the time not showing his anger, unless something truly ticks him off to the point where he lashes out.

Family – Salem’s mother (Jessica Devin), is a kind mother who looks after her children while his father (Reagon Devin) is away most of the time on business trips. He has three older tripletbrothers, all graduated from Hogwarts (David, Peter, and Raymond Devin) and two younger twin sister, who have yet to enter Hogwarts (Sara and Luna Devin).

Background – Salem grew up as the middle child, although he technically isn’t. His older brother were born four years before he was born, as were his sisters nearly eight years after he was born. So, while his brothers and sisters went through problems together, Salem was left to figure them out himself. His family was a rich one, richer than the Malfoys almost, but the Devins didn’t believe in spoiling their children. Salem had almost anything he wanted, though, except for friends, since most of the kids at his magically school didn’t want to associate with him. It was hard for Salem growing up being he only single birth child. While David, Peter, and Ray had each other to share things with, and later Sara and Luna, Salem had to fend for himself. His brothers and sisters don’t see the point in him, and try not to do anything with him. However, once he was accepted into Hogwart, his brothers started treating him a little better, since they were all in the same house, and he started to make friends. However, he was made fun of more then ever by the Slyterhins, who all knew his father was very significant in the Ministry. Salem ignored them for the most part, and was sort of glad when Harry Potter came to Hogwarts, with diverted their snide remarks from him. Thus he went through schooling, becoming a Prefect in his fifth year. However, something’s been distracting him, and he doesn’t really know how he’s still doing good in his classes. About his third year, with emotion starting to seep out, he developed a severe crush, almost infatuation, with Odessa Wilson, who has yet to show an interest back at him, although they are what he would consider friends.
