Marieke is a very self-confident, popular and pretty little cracker ^^ Though maybe not that little, as she is pretty.. tall :P She has a sharp tongue and a hot temper and can be quite a bitch, actually XD Marie can be rather sarcastic towards people she doesn't like. She's very outgoing, sponaneous and LOVES to be in the center of everyone's attention, thus she founds her own music band, CorsaKa-OOL!, when she is 14/15 or something, together with her friends. She's the main singer there (she's got an excellent voice!). Her main problem is that she's scared of getting close to people, in a romantic kind of way. She thinks it makes her vurnerable and she can’t stand that. She’s also afraid her loved one will leave her sooner or later. She thinks this way because of her sister who died when she was six (she had leukaemia (blood cancer)) and whom she loved very much.. ;; But, even though she may not show it, Marie kind of cares for her reputation at school and if she's drunk a bit too much at parties, she might end up making out with guys anyway XD Just to make sure people don't think of her as a lesbian or something. Pretty sad, eh? XD But, much to the guys' displeasure, it won't ever become more. Nyah nyaaaah! Her best friend is Mikki (Jennula’s character), a rat in furry form, who is very timid and kind of anti-social, thinking people are just out to get him. He was bullied a lot when he was still a little cracker ;; But the moment he and Marieke meet (they're about 10 years old then), Marieke is interested in who he is right away (he has blue hair (also in humanoid form), and that's quite uncommon in Gadan, but Marie finds it cool ^^). It takes quite some time and effort from Marieke's side to get him to trust her and show him that she's not out to hurt him. Eventually they become best friends ^^ But Mikki realises he luuurves her.. he's so cute XD When Marieke is a teenager, she will have some sort of crisis that has to do with her love life (she doesn’t have one, and that’s the problem! XD). She’ll start to cut herself in her upper arms (rather unpractical, but they’re easier to hide).. it’ll become like an addiction to her. Eventually, things get so bad that she attempts suicide X.x But she’ll get rescued just in time. It will take her a long time before she becomes her real self again.. but eventually, she WILL be able to lurve again. Without worries ^^ So, all in all, Marieke is a girl who acts really tough (oh yeah! She's a really well-trained Karate kid ^^) and is all like "don't mess with me!" and "I got everything under control!", but really that's just bull :P She can be a real bitch to people she dislikes, but is very kind and sweet to her friends. And funnily enough, her best friends are the more unpopular kinda dudes, such as Mikki ^^ People mostly just think he's a freak, but Marieke thinks he's cool and cute. Ja? ^_^ Ohhh... one more thing. Marieke is a Dutchie (wow, did you see THAT coming? XD Gimme a break, she was my first character!), or “Kazen” as it is called in Gadan. Thus she speaks with a slight accent, but as she will move to America (or: “Telandus” in Gadan), you won’t notice too much of it.
