That all changed when she was 12, and a patrol of XD troops came through the village looking for some worthless criminal and killed everyone they found. Kathra managed to get her little brother, only 8 years old, and run into the jungle and hide, but her parents and her friends, everyone she knew, was killed by the xaersi. On that day she swore revenge, and has not deviated from that since. She met Nari Arian when she was sixteen, and the Dari Seneschal took her under his wing, hoping that the young woman would become a Dari and let her thirst for vengeance abide. Instead she took mercenary and hunter oddjobs, and became one of the more known explorers of the Orinoco rainforest. Recently she was contacted by someone named Benai Cirisa to find a lost human city by the north coast, but why the renjiri noble wants to find an ancient city is beyond Kathra for the time being...
