Ly-Rik [pronounced Lih-rick] was originally invented to die. That's it, die. I was listening to Burn from Three Days Grace and I couldn't get this idea of somebody flying getting shot through the heart out of my head.

So I drew Ly-Rik. I wanted a black and white image with red blood, so I ended up choosing a white tiger. I wonder if this wasn't subconscious somehow at times.
