above the stormy trees
above the stormy trees by @phantom_mint (Ana Leistner)

Mechanical pencil on sketchbook paper, Photoshop 5.

Astraeamon is the sister of Erinysmon, another fan-made Digimon. Like her sister, Astraeamon is based off a mythological figure involved with justice -- this time being Astraea, a goddess of justice who fled to the stars when evil began to take over the world. And much like in the myth, Astraeamon served the side of justice as a guardian just as Erinysmon did, and fled when evil began to overtake other guardians amongst them.

This is a bit more... grim picture of her. I also intended for the background to show shadowy wind-blown trees and the shadows of fleeing birds, but not so sure how well that came out.

This is.. this is.. amazing is all i can come up with. love the colors and the pose and the eyes! The manicles around her feet is a nice touch! I'm not sure but is she holding a dove? because that would fit nicely with the darkness of the piece, you know the loss of peace and harmony, the beginning of death and chaos. anyway bloody brilliant

Thank you very much!

And yes, she's holding a dove, which she killed to feed off of. So yeah, that was meant to be symbolic. ^^

Wow, this is really good. I love all the little details such as the folds in the clothing and the colouring of the hair. The colours were well chosen and I really like how she has mechanical wings. Overall this is very nice.

Thanks! Doing all the small details was a lot of fun.
