Agreed, the shading is nicely rendered. I also like how you've given it more of a raptor look, in that you added feathers straight down to its talons, and the face is very nice. The only thing I would suggest is that the feathers where the wing points toward the viewer look a little thin. Very nice otherwise, though. I love the fluffy look it has.
