Flight of the Dragon by @lynne (Lynne)
I wasn't going to put her up until I had a name for her.. but then I realized that I have never ever named any Dragon that stuck around. Ferrdwyn and Xenofen were two that I named (there's old old pics of them farther back in my gallery) but I'm not doing much of anything with them. Ferrdwyn's name I just detest and I very much wish to change it.
I did not name Ranlumez, I did not name Trageth, I did not name myself-- Misht Soloi. Granted none of these are the true names of the Dragons in question; but they are names that they have been given and so use. AF gave Ranlu and I our names.. nicknames.. and Aubri gave Trageth hers.
So I have decided that I will not name this Dragon. Someone else must name her. I would definately appreciate it if you put down any names she inspires you with.. some may fit and some may not, but her true name is not something that will be known, not even to me, and I cannot give her a use name.

Wow... I love the wings! I wish I could draw as well as you... Some of my chars have dragon wings, but I can't draw them nearly as well as you do. If you haven't picked a name yet, how does Saiades sound? Actually it sounds like (say-ay-day-s (s is not a z sound)). I love just saying the name! And it definately should belong to something as cool as your dragon.
Oh, and what a beautiful creature she is! I love the shading on her - she looks like she reflects like wet oil. That mane of hers is gorgeous, and her horns are interesting -- they look like they'd be very good for jabbing at things from underneath. Also, great job on those leathery wings. She's a beautiful girl, and I love her now. ^_^
Keep drawing!
If I may suggest a name... Oil Slick? Or something to do with oil - as I said, that's the impression I get from her scales' reflections.
Magnificent! I like how you used shade and lighting to outline the creature for you. The wings are dark and leathery, I can almost smell them and the sulphuric breathe of the animal. The dragon would seem mystical enough if you had had it facing forward, but instead you had it peering back! That single, piercing blue eye is enough to give anyone the chills. Or is it a simple glance, just a curious, random peek over the shoulder? The tatters in the wings show a lifetime of wear and tear. About the formations along the dragon's spine.... they appear to be sharkfin-like scales at first glance, but looking closer, they appear hairy, like a sort of mane. Was that your intention? The blues and greys in the background compliment the subject without being bright and gaudy. Excellent job! I hope to see more artwork like this from you in the near future!
