i just got done reading The Book of the Dun Cow and this was the villian, behind him are his "children" another form of basalisk that has a roosters head.

Nice work, your inking and your coloring come together seamlessly. I like the hints of color on the foremost cockatrice's scales that suggest iridescence. Well done! The expression is great too, I can feel the malevolence in that gaze.

His right foot looks like he's standing on his own tail, but that's hardly noticable. I'd also like to see a little color in the serpentine cockatrices, not much, just a little so that they're not so flat black with all the other color in the picture.

Other than that, excellent picture!!
