Animage Aislin -
Animage Aislin - "Heat Up the Month" by @laursefc (Lauren Sefchik)

This was an Image Manipulation final that I had to do by taking an existing magazine cover and creating a new cover for it. I chose Animage for my magazine title. The character, Aislin, is the heroine of an RPG I've started to write and figured that she would be great material to utilize since the artwork had to be of original orgins.

Her shades were colored by gel pen, and then she was completely colored in Photoshop. The text (with exception of a few bubbles) is all rehashed from a Japanese Word Processor. So it advertises my game in Japanese (and very bad Japanese at that, sorry ^^). Background image came from AOL stock shareware, so it's free and usable. This was my first Photoshop coloring attempt. GOTTA love those Wacom tablettes....even if they ARE freakin' expensive. ~~

I have no plans to publish this piece since I am not the original creator of the Animage Magazine. I give sole credit to them for the skeletal structure and format. Doomo arigatou gozaimashita! Artwork © Copyright 2002 Lauren Sefchik

Thanks! ^^ Yea, that's what happens when you're forced to take a class in Photoshop...but now I can't live without it! ^^*
