The year is 2100. The last batch of Digidestined Children long ago lived their days and passed away, and no one ever arose to replaced them. Most of the world has forgotten about the creatures once called Digimon.

The Digital World is now nothing like the place known by the first Digidestined. Its data and configuration have been warped and distorted beyond recognition, leaving something more like a scene from a nightmare circus than the organic land it once was. The Digital Gods have been destroyed, and even the Digimon themselves have been twisted and remade. The Digiworld is now called Kesurine.

The Kaiserin Jestrastamon rules the Digiworld now, and it is she that killed the Digigods and remade Kesurine. Jestrastamon is the strongest being in Kesurine, and everyone obeys her for fear of their lives.

All but one, and he has broken the code that locked Kesurine from the real world and prevented the summoning of any new Destined…

The new Digital Destined are about to be chosen…

Kendal Larsen, age 18, freshly graduated from high school, is about to have her career chosen for her…
