Sas dla Crusc
Sas dla Crusc by @malvasia (Cristina Marsi)

Dolasilla, princess of the Fanes, is gazing for the last time her beautiful land before heading for the battle that will be her last.

Based on a well known legend of the Dolomites. Sas dla Crusc is the name of the mountain btw and landscape is based on an open air sketch. Watercolours and black ink.

This picture is really elegant and the landscape is incredibly realistic. I like the contrast of the harsh rocks against the gentle looking horse and princess. The princess's hair is gorgeous! You have mastered watercolours excellently.

Thanks a lot : ) The landscape looks realistic because it _is_ real. During holiday I took a sketch of my favourite mountain. Later i used if for this picture.
