Serena's loss
Serena's loss by @Yukinite (Chenoa D)

I drew this picture to sypathize with Serena, Darien get's hurt, killed, and/or taken away so many times in the Sailormoon series. I guess I feel sorry for Serena. So this is for all the times she's been worried about him.

First off... I love her hair, her lips, and her eye! They are so well done. ^^ It inspires me to start working with markers (that's what the medium looks like.) again. What I also like about this picture is the emotion you get from it. You simply glance at it and you are overwhelmed with a deep sense of sadness and despair. It so wonderful when artists can pull emotion from their viewers. It's a sign that you are a true artist. Keep up the good work. ^^

Oh my... This is a simply beautiful piece. The detail in her hair, her facial features, her shirt, are all astounding, and the shading is fantastic. Also, like the commenter before me said, the emotion you convey here is breathtaking. I think that it not only captures grief, but Usagi's grief over losing Mamoru, and it's accomplished very well. (It seems very personalized, I guess.)

In the attempt of being constructive, ^^;;, I think the only weak area of the picture is the rose. It's a very nice touch -- both the color and the sentiment make a major impact on the picture -- but it stands out as looking two-dimensional. Can be remedied in future projects, as I tend to say. ^^;;

Props to you -- this is gorgeous work.

Too true...the rose in this pic does look two-dimensional. Even though I'm ok at drawing humans now, my ability to draw background and other such things, is still alittle lacking. So I'll pay attention to the dimensions more next time. Thanks for the comment and critique...I appreciate it! ^_^
