"True Wizardry" #1 by @DeoWulf (Donovan Wolf)

The first in my "True Wizardry" series. I just drew this picture when I was really bored, and liked the expression on her face... It was just, like, "saying" something, you know what I mean? So I went with it, and so far it's a four picture series.

I really like the emotion in this piece. Her pose and her eyes all seem to convey that sense of bewilderment--the quote really helps to explain what exactly it is. I adore the way her hand is lifted up slightly--that's just such a subtle, sweet touch--just like something a girl would do. Excellent!

The sakura petals are also a very nice touch. :) Keep working on anatomy and shapes, though, you'll get better in no time, I'm sure. Also, don't feel you have to draw every line of hair--just getting the shape correct before individual strands generally looks cleaner.

Overall, you've got a lot of promise. Keep working!
