I love the expression as he's looking at the explosion. Sort of a mischevious, "Oops, did I do that?" Your texturing work, particularly on his staff and other wood, is impressive, and the lighting is rendered very well. The explosion is a little bit blocky, but otherwise it's great work. The jewels on his hat are a nice touch.

Very nice! I like all the detail, especially in his staff and clothing. The expression on his face is nice as well! You did a great job with the splintering wood! Nice work all around.

Heh heh - that expression is a classic! Nicely! Fantastic eyes!

I really like the fragments of wood in the explosion, that really works well and the wood detail on the staff is lovely :)

The explosion itself is a little flat (looks a bit too "photoshopped" if you see what I mean) I think this, combined with the different styles (the castle is a more realistic than the figure for example) tends to make the whole image very slightly disjointed.

It's a minor niggle with a cool looking piece.

nice one!
