Zim Manilow
Zim Manilow by @Samantha_Lynn (Samantha Lynn)

For my parent's anniversery this year, they went to a Barry Manilow concert. (I know this is an odd way to begin an image description, but just bear with me.) And they started playing his music in the house a few days before the concert - and I really liked it! He's a very talented guy. They also had a concert on TV the day before that we saw - and he's really funny too. (If you've never heard of him, you really should look him up sometime. He's probably not for everyone, they call his style contemporary...whatever that means. ^_^)

ANYWHO...my dad, trying to seem interested in the stuff I'm into asked me if Zim ever tried to conquer Earth through music. And that got me thinking...why not?? He'd probably see how many people go crazy over music stars and think..."I'll bet I could hypmotize the Earthlings into surrendering their planet to me by singing!!"

And so, to make a boring story short, this picture came about. I think Zimmy looks very cute with his microphone. ^_^ And I haven't drawn him in a while, so this may be the start of a new wave of Zim FanArt. Yay. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Samantha Lynn
