This is a night-gaunt. A watcher and guard of the ghouls. This one is returning to the caverns of Ngranek, barely escaping the first light of dawn.

Night-gaunts are one of my favorite Cthulhu Mythos creatures. Lovecraft's descriptions of them are so rich I just had to do a picture of one. I luv H.P. Lovecraft!

I drew this piece in pencil then scanned it & painted it w/ PhotoShop.
