The Hungry Cavern
The Hungry Cavern by @denise (Denise Chan)

Putting the 'speed' back in 'speedpainting'. This took all of 10 minutes. XD

So the water is blue and radioactive, and so the stalactites look like teeth - so? SO? XP

I don't think the water looks radioactive... it seems to have a sort of unearthly light, as if something within is glowing. It looks magical. I think it looks very beautiful, especially for something done in ten minutes.

Thanks! :) That's the effect I was going for, originally, before I decided the water looked decidedly dangerous - so I'm glad you saw it that way!

You've included fantastic detail to the water, despite it being a 'speedpainting'. It doesn't look very radioactive though... more natural and glowy. Perhaps a little neon green in the water would help?

Thanks! grin I was so fixated on finishing quickly that I didn't use anything other than blue. Neon green, though - now that would be seriously radioactive.

I'm glad you don't think it looks radioactive, anyhow!

That's a speed painting? Wow... I think it turned out very nice. I love the lighting and the handling of the rock formations (stalactites, stalagmites and everything in-between). Some of the ripple lines in the water over to the right look a little out of place somehow, but most of the water looks quite nice.

Thank you! I'll have to agree those ripples are veery strange - there's nothing to cause them, really, but I had to make it look like it was water and not just an amorphous glowing blob!

Next time, I should cheat less...;)

Heyy, this actually turned out really awesome! The staglatites/mites -do- look a little like teeth... IT'S A SCARY PEOPLE-EATING CAVE =| And it even almost looks like it's drooling... Haha, that's so awesome xP I loves it! Even the shiny pool of water. It makes it look kind of mysterious...and magical :D
