I love my cables, yes I do
I love my cables, yes I do by @ArtificialGekko (Artificial Gekko)

I've had a lot of discussion about computers and technology over and over again, and some of them circled around the topic creature/machine-interface. There are so many different ways of getting your point across to a computer, you can type on your keyboard, move your mouse, the pen on some graphic-tablet, a trackball, speech-recognition, touchscreen. As all of these have their merits and flaws most are even used together like the ever so traditional mouse / keyboard combo - hey, traditional already after a mere few decades of computers at all! On one occasion I mentioned I dreamt about a one-thing-for-all input device - when a friend replied "hey, in movies there already is one - the headjack".

No matter how realistic or not the idea of a universal way of thoughts-only communication with machines is, eventually requiring one and the same operation system for all components to "speak the same language", requiring one and the same format of connector if one thinks oldschool like in cables (damn, so frighteningly retro even nowadays already) instead of bluetooth or whatever... I want that. I crave a way to let my thoughts travel around the world to the people I know without having to type until my fingers ache, few little percent of the speed of thought, every word ever so slowly creeping along the cursor. I want true multitasking. Damnit I WANT ROOM SERVICE!!

Yes, I do love my cables. I really do. I do love the way imagination enables me to stick things into my spine, implant wings to my back and fly by simply closing my eyes.

This was suppossed to be a work in progress kind of thing. I'm not done deciding on the background, the composition of the whole thing and the format of the paper. Maybe I will put several sheets of paper together to fit it the way it needs to fit, maybe I will find a fitting frame. But this is gonna take a long while most probably, so I file it as finished for now.

Done (so far) with: - Copic Pigment Ink Fineliners size 0.05 and 0.1 - Copic Markers - Polychromos Colored Pencils - White Gel-Pen - Edding White Permanent Marker

Something's not right with my chest. So I stapled it.
