Great Mother Goddess by @Starlight_Blade (Lyra Parry)
the great mother goddess as dipicted in The Song of the Lioness series featuring Alanna, and The Mists of Avalon. woot, i thought this was a really great piccy. I made the hair more woosh!! enjoy! PLEEZ COMMENT!!!!!!!!
This has got so much potential, but it just looks like it could use a few touch-ups here and there.
First off, she's very beautiful. The shape of her jawline and the fullness of her lips are very attractive features, and the way her hair spread around her face makes her look very powerful.
Her anatomy overall looks pretty good, but it could be better if there was a little more detail, mostly in the shading. One of the best ways to acheive captivating looks with shading is by using a deeper contrast between light and dark. Try applying some of the deeper shading in her eyes to the rest of her features.
The hair looks very thick and beautiful, but the way it was coloured looks a little messy and doesn't really convey a hair-like feeling. A good way to get slightly-realistic hair is by making a lot of loose lines running together in a similar pattern, smear the lines together, and then repeat that process until it resembles hair. After that, give it a little more definition by adding some shading.
The little sparkles in her hair is also a very beautiful touch, but they're kind of hard to see. What would probably look best is if the middle was almost pure white and then it sort of fades away into the hair.
What probably lacks the most detail is her clothing. There isn't a lot of shading, and there'd probably be some wrinkles, especially around her chest and armpits.
All in all, this is a really pretty picture. I hope this comment was useful, and keep up the good work. :)
