Female Velociraptor
Female Velociraptor by @aleilam (Aleister Lam)

This is the first of my raptor picture, a female raptor. Like most animals, the females are not as attractive and colourful as the male. I am fascinated with some theories that the raptors are one of the most intelligent dinosaurs who walked the face of the earth, and that they are highly successful predators because they are able to strategise their attacks and this incredible patience to stalk their preys for days and even weeks before finding the perfect moment to strike at their prey. One thing about drawing prehistoric creatures is that from their bone structures we only have a rough idea of how they look like; the rest is up to your imaginations. Scientists have admitted that there's no way we could know how their skin textures are like, unless they could clone these dinos from their genes!!! Artwork © Copyright 2002 Aleister Lam

Yay, a rapty! Not bad for a first, keep drawing them, hehe. If you wanna see more rapty pics, look at some of mine. grins Should be under the name Minstelae or Minstelae Utahraptor. Or you could just look up raptor to find them. Blah. ;)
