Yay!! Happy Holidays, everybody. Here we have Ayame from my Card Reviver Ayame story, and the Fire Dragon from Amanda's Mode Ryuu. This pic started me on a story idea, but I doubt it'll ever get written. Yay, we finally finished...sighs

Side note: The lineart for this piece was done by Amanda, and the coloring was done by me, Ayame. Just to get that all straightened out.

The tough part, compisition-wise, was working with the practically-all-black dragon. I really should have drawn the shadows on the other side so we could see more of the dragon, but I colored Ayame first, and that's how I decided to shade it then. I was so happy when the christmas lights were done. They's glowing! YAY! All in all, I'm glad I spent so much time on this. By the time I realized I should double shade it, though, I was up to my neck working, so I didn't have the time. I think it looks okay anyway, besides, a double shading might've been too dark. My apologies to those whose computer screens see only black on the dragon, it's different shades, really!!

LOl the background is so cute!

I like the angle the card is held at.. very nice! The colored lights must have been a nightmare but they're well done!

I think the dragon's fine. If anything, she should be darker. The fire dragon is supposed to be VERY black so the contrast with the white ear is very noticable. I think you did wonderfully ^_^

And the lights. If you had given me lights to do, I would've yelled at you ^o^ When I saw this for the first time, I thought the lights and the wand definately added to the picture with the colors against the black of the fire dragon.

I'm so glad you knew Ayame was holding a card. I was worried someone was going to think it was a Harry Potter-ish wand or something ^_^;;; You all know how much I suck at perspective. We should do this again when we both have the time and the patience.
