Fitting In - The Comic Series! by @TheDevilCat (Caitlin Wilt)
I am so frigging proud of this one. For my final project in Color and Design, I had to design a comic, with my own story idea and character(s). The comic could have pre-existed ideas and characters in it, as long as there were some of your own invention present. In other words, my class was allowed to make doujinshi. I couldn't resist. I went with Gundam Wing.
Actually, what I did was take portions of a Gundam Wing fanfic I'm co-writing, and comic-ified them. Hence the odd title: Fitting In. It makes a better title for the story itself than a comic, but I didn't want to change the name, so there it is.
The gal in the poorly-drawn cockpit chair is Tera, my absolute favourite of all my characters. Hours have gone into her development and characterization, and I love her to bits. This gallery would be full of pictures of her were it not for the fact that, of all my characters, I also have the hardest time drawing her. It makes no sense, since her character design is pretty simple, but there you have it.
And as simple as it is, idiot ol' me went and forgot her friggin' dogtags. I'll see about adding them in later. I still love this pic.
Tera is supposed to look surprised at seeing Heero pop up on her Gundam's monitor. (Okay, it's not really a Gundam, since none of the Gundam scientists had a hand in its building, but it is made of Gundanium, so that's good enough.) She'd met him in school before, but having him pop up as a fellow pilot was the last thing she'd ever expect, even though she knew the other Gundam pilots were all her age.
And, uh, yeah. I'm done. I need to go to bed.
