Maiden in Nature
Maiden in Nature by @GuardianKnight5 (Nathaniel Christopher)

It's rare that I ever do a finished product in just pencil, but this time I would only be doing it a great injustice if I didn't. I was so pleased how well this one turned out and is probably one of my proudest creations to date. Inspired by not only The Lord of the Rings Marathon I placed myself under for the night, of watching both extended editions back to back, but the inspiration of my girlfriend as well. I essentially finished up and cleaned up the previous sketch that I had completed, the took my digital camera outside to take a shot of a suitable environment. After which point I took a portion of it and cropped it out in Photoshop, the layed some filters to it giving it a chalk/charcoal rendered look to go with the sketch going into it. I then placed the cleaned sketch into the image and made the appropiate edits and adjustments.

To my beloved: When you read this, I spent alot of time putting this together, and through all the toil I endured to finish it I can now say that it is the work that I am most proud of. With that said, I can finally tell you that all along you have been the inspiration I need, not so much for art, but the inspiration to want to live my life and to spend every moment with you by my side. I hope to soon establish a chain of works dedicated to your inspiration and that I will force myself not to fail you.

I'm really impressed. This is lovely, and it works so well with the background. You've captured her gentle spirit so well...
