Faerie Waters
Faerie Waters by @chaosmage (Yaminah Tashanazi)

I've had this image in my head for ages upon ages and finally found the time and the inspiration to sit down and draw this. It was done with Photoshop 7 and my Wacom Tablet. The only actual Photoshop effect was the glow on the faeries.

I thought it'd be nice to experiment once again with drawing on a black canvas. I don't know why, but it seems challenging.

My fave faeries are the one on the shore in the bottom right corner and the one up on the tree limb at the very top. All those little buggers were a pain to draw.

This is a really beautiful piece. It's like a dream.

Oh, this is lovely! I really like the sketchiness of the trees paired with the luminescence on the faeries. It's got a very calming, ethereal sort of quality to it (and black and turquoise are always great together).

This looks like it must have been a pain to sketch out...and oooh, look, you even did little reflections in the water! And little ripples! And I love the way you drew the branches/roots extending down into the water, as it the water were actually very clear, and it's only black because it's incredibly deep, or something.

This is all so very pretty...I really like this...
