I tried. I tried so hard to help them, but they had to keep pushing. Now they are out of my hands. Out of mine and into his, and I know now what he will do. I've seen him work before. Cold. Explosive. Decisive. And those eyes. I know now what he does. In every fight, he dies and loses a measure of himself to the blood and the pain. The same blood and pain I see mirrored in those eyes. And now I know that I cannot stop him. He is dead, and so are they.
