This is lovely and it is so nice to see some backgrounds, I for one get very bored looking through pictures that are all white except for a chacter just stood there in the middle of the paper. Even if they are in a good action pose, it's spoilt by the blank white background.

I love the pan statue and all the details that you've given the picture but I'm sorry I have to to be a critic on your lack of shading and shadows. I think the best way I can help you out here is to point you towards my tutorial. Just look for it in Side7's list of links, it is a background tutorial, and it's pretty easy to follow with loads of stages shown. I even added a water tutorial to it, though that could do with tutorials on other types of water.
