Dragon 5
Dragon 5 by @negoki (Zenoa Astellda)

Full View this to see all the bloody detail that cause it to take so long to complete...

My 5th dragon. this took FOREVER. on and off over a period of 3 days. basically a free hand pic.

how? 1. drew a few lines using light pencil for the placement of the dragon.

  1. using light pencil, sketch out basic shape of the dragon, size of head, length of neck, how it curves etc. (it's only a grey mess at this point. only u'll know what exactly those not so random lines mean...)

  2. using a 0.28 uni-ball signo DX, start detailing the picture.

  3. i began with the eye then on to the ridge then the nose then the mouth then the horns then the lower jaw then the tongue then the teeth then the ................... etc. etc. etc.......... blah blah blah.

  4. i get new ideas as i detail the pic, either from feedback from friends that watch me do the pic, or simply stuff the pops up in my head as i draw... add more details, shadows... (didn't have highlights basically so the parts that look brighter is only cos the other parts look darker.)

  5. using a 0.38 uni-ball signo DX, added more shadows at darker parts and use the 0.28 to blend the tones.

  6. used 0.5 and 1.2 ZIG to draw over some lines that need to stand out.

  7. scanned. typed this whole load of bullcrap...

  8. hit submit...
