The Courting Dance by @mariocho (Maria Ochoa)
I'm happy with this one. I been practicing on the computer a lot and I shortened on how long I used to color by half :D
Gohan and Agra, as mer-people, swim their people's courting dance, and then exchange their vows ^_^ I put markings on Gohan, because many male species wear the brighter plumage, and I didnt want him to be a dull green (though I like green, but its a cliche color for mer-people). Then I added some barbs to his fins attached to his arm and back. Its sorta like a defense thing, because they are venomous. I left Agra as is because the color alone seems to make her pretty. My fave part are the scales though. I took my time in making them look scaley enough, and then added the light, shadows, and bubbles in the water :D
I was listening to "Don't Let Go" from the Spirit Soundtrack, and "Suteki Da Ne" from Final Fantasy X which got me in the mood to color this, hehe sigh

Man, I love your art! This one is so cute! I don't know how the heck you drew them so good, no matter how hard I try, I can never draw half-human folks even close to decent, especially mermaids! I especially like the effect on the scales, neato! ^_^ Love the art, keep drawing!
It's lovely! I like the scales and barbs a lot...I find mer-people really hard to draw...well done!
