ITV network clock (strike, August 1969)
ITV network clock (strike, August 1969) by @WestKnightTV (West Knight)

Carlton's first major challenge came in August 1969, when unionized technicians walked out in support of those who were sacked for doing so a few moths prior. With no-one up and down the country handling the film, an emergency national service was critical to keep the network on air. Working closely together with fellow new guys in Yorkshire and incumbents like Granada, Carlton eventually managed to pull it off with their combined archives.

Presentation, however, was largely modified on the spot from Carlton, like this clock that blocked the C symbol on the face with a piece of black tape (much like what they've actually done with ABC's clock).
