Sargari women and their hats by @The-Wizard-of-Zaar (The Wizard Of Zaar)
Sargari women, particularly those married or members of clergy, are expected to abide by a particular and strict dress code and criteria of modest dress called "Kari"
A portion of this modest dress code, one which is obligatory for married women, Karia and Vesras is the covering of the hair/head, neck and ears. However whilst this is often done by a kind of wrapping or shawl (Much akin to real world Hijab or a Dupatta)
Many Sargari women also wear hats like the ones displayed above. In fact the wearing of hats is seen in the Sargari cultural/religious sphere as more a feminine article of clothing to begin with; as Sargari men in the religion display close shaved heads and married men grow beards. Sargari men typically would only cover their head in a masking of wrapped black cloth that reveals only their eyes.
Hats like these are more common among and the mark of urban living and/or wealth of the women wearing them.
In addition, it is very common for hats such as shown to be worn by Karia and Vesras.
